Mark Crawford business owner (Ibo) notes: National research firm and partner of NRF, Big Research has been tracking consumers grocery store behavior.  They are looking for an answer to this question – Why are customers leaving some grocery stores to shop more regularly for groceries at Wal-mart.

The big reason is the bank balance.  High prices (29.0%) was cited by consumers as the #1 reason for switching stores.  Inconvenient location (25.0%), long checkout lines (15.0%), poor customer service (10.7%), and poor selection (9.9%) followed.
