Jody Victor Horizons Travel News: Labor Day weekend is a time when many of us take our last long weekend trip to bring a close to summer. There are normally tons of road trips to the mountains, beaches and relatives houses for one last picnic. But this weekend there are many drivers who have decided to change their plans due to the outrageous soar gas prices. The governor of several states has urged residents to stay home with family and friends this weekend to help conserve gasoline. Even President Bush asked Americans to be conservative in their consumption of energy and not to buy gas if you don’t need it. The President also said that this is a temporary challenge but any Americans can help out by staying home this weekend.
